Who we are.... 

The CARDBoard Project is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose main objective is to bridge the digital gap within the underserved communities of South Dallas. Technology is an essential to all means of living, for many this essential is grossly limited. These limitations actively hinder education, healthcare, and overall economic growth within underserved communities. Here we address this pertinent issue on many levels. Between providing physical access to essential technology, active projects working to eradicate "desert" Wi-Fi zones, working with individuals one on one to connect guests to empowering opportunities and resources, we consistently progress our cause.

Who we are looking for....

We are seeking a writer to create professional copy for various CBP promotional endeavors. We prefer someone who is passionate about our mission and can accurately express our intent and culture. The opportunity would encompass writing copy for our organization’s platforms, current and future projects; addressing multiple target audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Write copy for our presentations, newsletters, project/service ads, website, etc.
• Write copy for letters to donors and potential partners
• Interview various people associated with CBP and write their stories (e.g., Guests, staff, volunteers, donors, etc.)
• Deliverables are expected to have a first and final draft
• Timing is negotiable. Approximately 4-8 hours, over a month period.

Requirements:

• Advanced writing ability
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient computer skills and experience with MS365 and apps
• Strong internet navigation
• 1-hour weekly meeting with Digital Communications Director
