This is:
An essential role within Green Eyes of Ecology to create desirable ecoscripts that supports and express our ecological and creative thinking through the power of words.

We need you to:
Maximise the impact of words through ideas-based thinking by creating an environmental: tone of voice, name, messaging, and narrative.

This role requires the highest level of:
Originality / Creativity / Craft / Scriptwriting / Storytelling

You will show us that you have:

• Experience in working across different ecological settings and creative fields.
• Proven talent for writing evocative, thought-provoking and fluid narratives.
• Defining examples of creating scripts that provide strategic and creative outcomes.

You will definitely need to be:

• An original thinker with a deep mind.
• Able to analyse, contextualise, explore, distil and interpret complex briefs into meaningful stories.
• Able to express your thinking in impactful ways and bring to life and confidently present big ideas that inspire our team.
• An ability to elevate the qualities of nature within a story to operate as one defining element of a script.
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of ecology, a passion for writing and adapt written text.
• Naturally creative and able to develop a strong ongoing connection between our strategic thinking, creative writing and ecology.
• A genuinely interesting person with a unique background and authentic sources of inspiration to enrich our work and our culture.

The bare minimum we need from you is:

• formal qualification in creative writing

Ideally, we would like to see:
A passion for writing, shown through perspectives, thought pieces, blogs etc with the potential to stretch beyond the world of ecology.

And the technical skills needed for the role are:
Slack / GoogleDrive applications / MSOffice / Zoom

The role in detail
i. Strategic focus

Working closely with the team at strategy development stage, to develop:

• Verbal strategies: Creating strategies that define the unique voice, language and character of scripts.
• Naming: Name creation and definition for scripts and naming development across projects.
• Compliance: Conduct legal and copyright checks on naming and adaptation of novels.
• Ideas & Stories: Expressing big ecological ideas and shaping core stories as an essential part of GEECOs strategies.
• Storytelling: Creating highly impactful pieces of storytelling (e.g. written narrative, film script, etc.) to bring to life powerful ecological visions.
• Analysis: Verbal audits and language analysis on ecology, category and cultural level to inform and inspire strategies/solutions.

ii. Creative focus
Working closely with the team at creative expression stage, to develop:

• Words for design: Exploring creative concepts with the team and creating powerful words as part of design expressions.
• Developing content: Developing and editing books and design guidelines for ecoscript creation.
• Copywriting & Rollout: Rolling out and crafting specific copy across the scripts experience (e.g. front of script, articles, website)

iii. Compliance
Adhere to GEECOS principles when performing naming checks, and when creating all support material and internal and external presentations.

Reporting structure
You will report directly to the Development Associate.
