Job brief - Finance Assistant for Reforestation Organisation

RAIN is looking for someone dedicated and organized with some hours to volunteer in supporting our day-to-day transactions and monthly bookkeeping, including the tracking of multiple donation streams and expenditures.

Responsibilities include processing payments, maintaining cost reports, managing invoices and setting up a system to make this efficient. Ultimately, you’ll help maintain our company’s financial health, ensure transparency and accountability, and make sure we use our donations beneficially and efficiently.

RAIN (Regenerative Agroforestry Impact Network) is a non-profit CIC catalysing community-led reforestation efforts in the UK and Brazil through international mutual aid and community-led projects. We have a number of projects that integrate environmental action with the arts.

• Manage QuickBooks or similar system
• Streamline integration of multiple income sources
• Prepare tax documents
• Prepare a balance sheet
• Update financial records
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Prepare, receive and process invoices.
• Handle bank withdrawals and deposits
• Create cost analysis reports for other departments
• Assist in handling audits e.g submitting supporting documents as requested by auditors.
