Heart of Passion is seeking young professionals to mentor high school students as these student leaders build leadership skills and work to make a difference in the lives of teens with cancer.
Young professional mentors guide high school leaders through a year-long, Heart of Passion curated curriculum centered on the foundations of event planning, financing, and other business skills. With mentor support, high school leaders immediately apply these lessons in the planning, fundraising for, and execution of a summer retreat for teens with cancer, for a "for teens, from teens" experience for everyone.
Ultimately, Heart of passion exists to:
- tear down walls that cancer builds emotionally and socially for teens
- add a spark of VIP treatment during key life phases
- pave the way for a future of socially minded, personally responsible community and business leaders
Mentors will spearhead the third pillar of our mission and commit approximately twelve hours per month. If social distancing protocols allow, mentors will attend in person meetings with high school leaders Uptown.
