Adventure Cycling Association seeks a well-organized, detail-oriented, and computer and database-savvy person to volunteer for the Development Department. The volunteer will be part of a small Development team at Adventure Cycling, working to raise funds for the organization’s mission to inspire, empower, and connect people to travel by bicycle. This is a valuable opportunity for someone who supports Adventure Cycling and wants to put their interest in cycling to work.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who works well with data and has the time to dedicate to Adventure Cycling on a regular basis. The position is based at Adventure Cycling’s headquarters in beautiful and bike-friendly Missoula, Montana. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work is available if you are in the area. This position ranges from about 5-6 hours/week for data entry. If you are remote, we can provide an Adventure Cycling laptop to securely access the database.
For volunteering, there may be benefits such as limited-edition SWAG, an invitation to any volunteer appreciation events (virtual or in-person, depending on COVID-19) and attending staff BBQs in the summer.
General Summary
The Development Database Volunteer is responsible for supporting the donor data entry, thank you, and gift recognition fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enters donations into the database system in an accurate and timely manner;
- Keeps accurate and organized records;
- Keeps information confidential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with donor/customer relationship management (CRM) database (Microsoft Access is ideal);
- Attention to detail is paramount;
- Well-organized, thorough, and able to meet deadlines.
