Special Olympics Montana is seeking a volunteer within Anaconda, Butte or surrounding areas.

Purpose of Position:
Promote the area games by serving as a community ambassador (when in-person competition occurs)
Connect Special Olympics Montana staff members with individuals, organizations, and businesses that might provide "day of" volunteers for the bocce venue
Ensure bocce venue is run in an organized and effective manner
Actively lead a group of volunteers to run the bocce venue
Evaluate bocce venue at the completion of games
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee bocce competition
Attend planning and training meetings
Manage delivered competition equipment and ensure it is gathered at end of day
Manage any questions or concerns during competition with support from the Special Olympics staff
Arrive at venue to prepare at minimum one and one half (1.5) hours before competition begins
Ensure venue is picked up and looks as it did before competition began
At the end of competition, record results on provided heat sheets and ensure they are collected in the venue director binder at the end of the day
Learn and understand the Special Olympics Montana bocce rules and modifications
Direct awards volunteers to provided awards equipment
Contact and communicate with venue representative, as needed
