The Arc of San Diego needs help distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks to their clients with developmental disabilites. Many of their clients are working in essential jobs within our community. PPE is incredibly important to ensure the safety of their clients in their daily lives. Clients receiving PPE will also have the option of being tested for COVID-19 but volunteers will be primarily be involved with the PPE Distribution.
Volunteers will be setting up/moving PPE boxes outside, setting up signage, checking in clients, distributing PPE, and helping with clean up. The distributions will take place at their locations in Chula Vista and the Serra Mesa neighborhood of San Diego.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire: This opportunity will be outdoors so wearing weather appropriate attire and sun protection is recommended. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Safety: Volunteers must wear a mask over the nose and mouth. Volunteers should not attend if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. Temperature will be checked upon arrival.
