During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
What will you be doing?
During these uncertain times we would love to be able to draw on the skills of an experienced digital professional to support us in developing a bespoke Event Management System (EMS) which is able to manage a number of different event types, and also integrates with our CRM system (Salesforce) and our payment processor (Stripe).
Currently, our events are managed through Eventbrite and Salesforce however there are a number of challenges with this, including significant manual data processing and time consuming checks. The solution should remove the need for manual management and data cleansing, and manage ticketing, attendance and payment processing internally including the generation of emails, thank you letters and certificates. Data should automatically sync with Salesforce to ensure that data points are up-to-date in real-time. We would want the EMS to be embedded in our own website, which will shortly be moving to WordPress. We have further specification detail available on request.
This role is flexible and the project can be completed from home either in or outside of office hours. We are happy to discuss and develop a timeline for the project to suit the volunteers availability.
What are we looking for?We are looking for someone with the relevant skills and knowledge to be able to advise and lead on this project.
What difference will you make? This is a really important project for our team, as events are a key source of income to The Charity, the fundraising from which enables us to support those impacted by a brain tumour and fund vital research.
As a result of the pandemic, we are working with a reduced team, meaning that we need our tools to be as efficient as possible and it's important to create smart, digital-first solutions that are fit for purpose.
What's in it for the volunteer? You'll be working with our small, friendly team, utilising your skills to make a real difference to The Charity.
A few more detailsThis volunteer role is only available to those based in the UK. Volunteers must be aged 18 or over. We will take up two references for the successful candidate, and will ask the volunteer to complete relevant data protection and disclosure agreements before commencing the project.
