The Data Literacy Program at D4G plans monthly webinar series focused on the impact of data on our daily lives. Through this series, we will share how social enterprises, nonprofits, data practitioners, and everyday individuals can leverage the power of data effectively and ethically to make a positive social impact. Past and future topics focus on the data behind topics including community health and COVID-19, social justice and racial equity, environmental justice and climate change, media and entertainment, education, and more.

Time commitment: 2-4 hours per session/campaign
Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate between broader organization and Data Literacy program manager to supply visual graphic design, messaging, and marketing/communication for sessions.

  • Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders the communications of each session and subsequent data literacy initiatives. Might include:

    • Creating event registration
    • Creating and implementing social media marketing strategy and email communication plans
    • Creating and updating web page(s) as appropriate for events and related resources
    • Coordinating with data literacy program stakeholders and larger organizations the display and access of data literacy program materials (session videos, session hand-outs) by internal stakeholders and the broader public as appropriate
