ORGANIZATION: GAMES FOR LOVE

Games for Love (GFL) is a 501(c)(3) Charity dedicated to easing the suffering of children and saving the lives of children internationally. We are very engaged in the entirety of the gaming ecosystem, from fan to professional. Our programs are designed in a way for children we work with to be able to be engaged with our programs for life, and every gamer as well across the ecosystem - to create a sustainable future.

GFLX: Gets distraction therapy to children in hospitals to make sure that they have the technology, gaming, and equipment they need to be able to heal.

**Responsibilities**

  • Coordinating with domestic and international partners at hospitals, nonprofits, and other childrens’ well-being resources
  • Hospital outreach to build our network of facilities and impact as many children as we can
  • Logistics background a plus for purchasing from large vendors for electronics, and technology
  • Domestic and international shipping of goods and products
  • Coordinate with Doctors, Nurses, Patients, and their families, and Social Workers
  • Track stats for impact, and sharing reports with the community each month
  • Highlight stories, work with families to cover and share with our donors, and community
  • Maintain website stats and publicly shared data
  • Work with Video teams and marketing
  • Strive to impact as many children as we can
  • Partner with ancillary organizations to provide extended impact and care for additional wins

**Requirements**

  1. Ability to volunteer 10-15 hrs per week for a minimum of 12 months
  2. Program or project management experience of 1 year or more
  3. At least one-year work experience in public health or other public service or community-focused role (preferred)
  4. Comfortable speaking in public and facilitating working groups
  5. Strong interpersonal skills that support activities to improve the individual, program, and organizational performance (e.g., encouragement, optimism, compassion, empathy, resilience, recognition of the value of performance improvement)
  6. Experience leading non-profit programs is a plus

Improving the lives of children through what we call the program ecosystem, which is 6 programs working together in tandem to accomplish our mission to help children. We are not looking at the symptoms of global problems to place a bandaid but at the root of the problems to solve them from the foundation. Our community creates a safe place of support, mentorship, and growth for all those involved.
