Frost Call is a small but rapidly growing nonprofit dedicated to supporting active duty military, reservists, and veterans in the Greater Boston Area. We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to facilitate community engagement with our military, veterans, and civilian allies via our Discord and Twitch online endeavors. Experience with these platforms required, and veteran/military status is preferred. The director of community engagement will manage the "stream team" of volunteers streaming on Twitch to raise funding for the program and will also assist in development of the Battle Buddy program (www.frostcall.org/battlebuddy) that brings veterans together through a shared love for gaming. Volunteers with a passion for working with veterans, initiative to share and develop their own ideas for the organization, and enthusiasm for volunteering are a must!

Frost Call fosters a community for veterans with a common interest in video and tabletop games. We facilitate in-person gaming events and online conversation as a means to stay in touch and support our brothers- and sisters-in-arms. We advocate for peer and professional support for veteran mental health and wellbeing.
Description
Frost Call is a registered 501c3 nonprofit located in Boston, MA. Although officially incorporated in 2019, Frost Call first began as a small group of veterans partnering with the local VA to provide gaming events after hours. Our goal? Help bring in veterans who might benefit from VA services but were put off by the stigma of seeking help. From Day 1, supporting veteran mental health has been our underlying focus. We believe gaming is a great way to support that mission.
Frost Call is an organization devoted to the veterans and service members within the community we serve. We partner with veteran service organizations and local businesses in Massachusetts in order to facilitate gatherings at a diverse array of locations including: VA Hospitals, veteran resource fairs and charity events, veteran shelters, local hobby shops, student veteran organizations, eSports arenas, gaming conventions, and veteran mental health clinics. We provide all the equipment needed to enjoy video and tabletop games, although veterans are always welcome to bring their own gear too.
