Gateway Hemophilia Association

Gateway Hemophilia Association is seeking volunteers for our Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk & 5K. This annual event is our largest of the year and directly supports our mission of advocacy, education, and support of families affected by bleeding disorders.

3 Shifts

  • Sun Jul 11, 2021 - morning / 07:00 AM to 08:30 AM
    Set up volunteers are needed to help carry and unload boxes to set up for the event.
  • Sun Jul 11, 2021 - morning / 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM
    Course volunteers are needed to guide walkers and 5K runners around the course.
  • Sun Jul 11, 2021 - morning / 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM
    Clean up volunteers are needed to help tear down tents and load boxes into cars at the end of the event

Gateway Hemophilia Association is a non-profit, community based organization, dedicated to the advocacy, education and support of families affected by bleeding disorders.

Description

GHA serves families in Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri throughout the year to the children and families in the community. These include educational scholarships, emergency financial assistance, bleeding disorder camp, Family Education Weekend, youth golf team, monthly educational programs, legislative issues for the bleeding disorder community support groups for men, women, and children.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Time committment for each shift is approximately 1.5 hours. Volunteers are welcome to volunteer for more than one shift.
  • Volunteers will be asked to sign in at the Volunteer Tent at the event and sign a waiver before beginning their shift.
