The Connected Chef is looking for English, Spanish, Bengla, and Arabic speaking volunteers to assist in delivering grocery packages to families in need. All deliveries are CONTACTLESS DELIVERIES between recipient and driver.

Locations and Times

• Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday
• This work is done in Long Island City at 49-09 5th Street

Delivery Process:

• All volunteer drivers will be asked to arrive at our packing facility at an assigned time.
• Each driver will get approx. 15 bags to deliver to various families in a single neighborhood. We group deliveries by location so that all of your bags are for a similar area. Each bag includes the contact information of the receiving family (address, phone number).
• We ask that drivers plot their addresses into google maps all at once which will give you the clearest and most efficient delivery route. When you receive your route list we recommend texting families the approximate time of your arrival. Once you arrive at your location, you are to call or text the family to announce that you are there. The member of the family will expect that you are coming and will meet you at the door for the pickup.

Requirements: must have a vehicle and valid license

*Drivers are recommended to have their own gloves and mask, however we do have a limited amount to give if needed.
