Quick Overview: Build caring relationships and serve as a mentor and role model by joining our Gang Reduction & Youth Development team as an Academic Mentor! We're seeking dedicated individuals who are interested in providing at-risk youth ages 10-15 with academic support and guidance. This is a remote opportunity, and all sessions are carried out using Zoom.
Impact: You will provide a sense of guidance and stability to at-risk youth who have experienced neglect and/or trauma.
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities: You will meet with GRYD staff and youth through Zoom and work on homework, participate in enrichment activities, and provide mentorship to youth. We seek individuals who are available to commit 2-4 hours of service per week, for a minimum period of 6 months. Programming and sessions take place from Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm.

Be 18 years or older
Pass a background check
College students preferred
Accessibility: All sessions and service will be conducted remotely through Zoom.
