Through a network of skilled volunteers, we deliver a range of health and education initiatives at the individual, community, and global level. For more than a decade PTW has utilised emerging technologies to deliver our health and education initiatives, meeting the needs of an increasingly connected world.

Position Overview:

The Fundraising Development Strategist is responsible for helping to grow the donor, sponsor and partnership pool for PTW. By making connections at the individual all the way to corporate level, the fundraising development strategist is responsible for finding a way to establish long-term sustainable sources of revenue through fundraising whilst ensuring the goals, views and principles aren’t changing or affected by such ventures.

Role Type:

This is a virtual and remote role, where the successful candidate is required to be available to conduct the relevant functions on a regular basis. Reliable access to internet, and a computer, in line with OHS workplace guidelines is essential.

Role Opportunity and Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for:

• Working closely with the Director of Finance and Accounts to determine the fundraising needs of PTW
• Using creative and intuitive approaches to draw interest towards potential partners and sponsors of PTW
• Ensuring the brand, image, identity and ethos of PTW aligns with partners and sponsors
• Regularly engaging and communicating with sponsors, partners and sponsors
• Developing business cases, marketing pitches and presentations to deliver to potential partners and sponsors
• Develop a fundraising strategy at each level of partner, sponsor or donor engagement

Desired Skills/Qualities:

• Professional experience in a Marketing & Communications role
• Experience in sales, fundraising or professional crowd-funding
• Experience in managing and working with stakeholders
• Understanding of motivations for donors
• Experience and skill with visual design and content development
• Passion for start-ups and enjoyment in a fast-paced, dynamic role

You are sociable, engaging and inspiring. You know how to naturally network and turn a first introduction into a strong long-term relation. You understand stakeholders and can quickly determine the needs and agendas of stakeholders whilst ensuring the ship remains travelling in the right direction.

You will be proactive in creating relationships and project management and hands-on with strong capabilities across all elements of public and internal communications from digital brand strategy, content development, community engagement and social media advertising. You are confident and keen to make your presence known, and not afraid to push people towards supporting a cause you believe in. You don’t just sell a good idea for the sake of it, but work to prove that PTW is worth investing in.
