Join us to support seniors in need of groceries and community connection! Your family will shop and deliver groceries to the seniors living at Lincoln Perry Apartments, Chicago Housing Authority affordable housing community in Douglas.
Seniors who have access to resources and community are more likely to live longer, healthier lives. Your work at this project provides free healthy food, community connection, and helps to limit risky outings for seniors during uncertain times.
Take NoteYour family will gather and pack grocery donations at your home. The event time listed is intended for curbside donation drop off only.
Work with your family to plan and shop for your food donation! After registering for this project, Honeycomb will provide a list of suggested groceries to donate. You may spend and much or as little as you like.
Health and safety is our priority. This is an outdoor, contact-free donation drop off. We require that you wear a face mask and practice social distancing when delivering donations. Please adhere to CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Stay tuned for additional details to help you prepare for the day!
