Volunteers are a vital part of Habitat for Humanity. They are the backbone of fulfilling Habitat’s mission, both on-site and behind-the-scenes on our committees and Board of Directors.
Volunteers participate in a variety of areas such as serving on committees, providing meals, greeting on work sites, taking pictures, building on site, and much, much more! Volunteers assist us as individuals, as service groups, and as corporate teams . We appreciate our volunteers who partner with us to help make a difference in our community and in the lives of those around us.
CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
- Board of Directors: Habitat is filling up to 7 positions on our board of directors. Skill sets are varied to complete our board dynamic, providing inclusion and community involvement. Time commitment is 2-5 hours monthly; sometimes more or less, depending on our affiliate calendar and activities. Contact Habitat's office for our next Meet & Greet event or to discuss this opportunity.
- Committee Members: Habitat has numerous committees whose members strive to complete important areas of our mission work. Areas include partner selection/application review, partner support/mentoring, church relations, volunteer management, development/fundraising, construction/repair. Time commitment varies depending on the affiliate calendar and activities, which is what makes committee volunteerism so great - you can give a little, or a lot. Contact Habitat's office for more information on our committee volunteer opportunities.
- Project Volunteers: If you love swinging a hammer, a Habitat project is the place for you! Visit our website to see when our project calendar will be available for the upcoming build season. www.habitatfco.org
- Project Meals and Greeters: Our projects always need meals provided for volunteers and a greeter each day. These are perfect opportunities to join our work-sites without swinging a hammer. Contact the Habitat office for more information.
Contact Habitat to discuss how you can get involved and be part of creating a world where everyone has a decent, safe place to call home.

Mission Statement
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat builds & repairs homes for people who need affordable housing and have little or no means to better their circumstances through conventional means. We partner with people who are willing to work for what they need, giving a hand up, never a hand out. This teaches skills so partners can provide for themselves and teach their future generations to do the same. Each project requires pay back with an affordable, no-interest payment plan. Project costs are kept low through donations and volunteer labor. Since 1999, Habitat of Fulton County has completed 17 new houses - recycled 5- moving 22 families, including more than 58 children, from substandard housing into decent, affordable homes that they helped build and are now purchasing. Those families, those children, now live, play, sleep and study in a safe place.
Description
Habitat for Humanity of Fulton County Ohio believes that every man, woman, and child in Fulton County should have a decent, affordable place to call "home". But we can't accomplish that goal alone. 80% of our project work is done by volunteers. Behind-the-scenes, our Board of Directors and committee volunteers strive to make sure our mission stays focused on eliminating affordable housing issues.
Our volunteers are the heart & soul of our work! Many become passionate when working directly with our future homeowners because there is no better feeling that watching someone reach their goals, working hard to make dreams a reality.
Join us and become part of the solution for eliminating affordable housing issues. There's something to meet your skills, passion and commitment level of volunteerism in the Habitat world. Contact our office or visit our website for more information on volunteer opportunities.
