Make a positive difference in the life of a hospice patient. As a Hospice Volunteer you are specially trained to support the patient and family in a variety of ways: companion visits for patient and family, spiritual support Volunteer, Vigil Volunteer (sitting with someone who is actively dying). You can also help by providing clerical office support, bereavement visits / support calls, and participating in special projects.

Our hospice volunteers make a tremendous and positive difference in the lives of hospice patients, their families, our staff-- everyone they meet. You are specifically trained to support the hospice patient in a variety of ways: sit with patients, play cards, play an instrument, sing, tell jokes, talk with families, provide spiritual care, or even sit vigil with an actively dying person. You can also help in our admin office, Our hospice volunteers provide incredible compassionate companionship to those facing terminal illness.
Description
We put the patient and family first, and recognize staff make a positive difference in their lives. Hospice Volunteers provide compassionate companionship in a variety of ways to hospice patients throughout the Colorado Springs area. Self-paced training and flexible scheduling. For Patient Safety: must pass a background check, drug screen, 2-step TB test. Possess a valid driver's license and current insurance (if you drive to patient's location).
