During these uncertain times, how can we help?

One Treasure Island's mission is to create a vibrant, inclusive community on Treasure Island that provides pathways for economic advancement and stability for lower-income San Franciscans, including those who have experienced homelessness. Each Tuesday, One Treasure Island hosts a food pantry to distribute staple food items along with fresh produce to residents as part of the SF-Marin Food Bank's Neighborhood Food Pantry program. Without the exceptional work of the SF-Marin Food Bank and amazing volunteers, this program would not be possible!
Volunteer duties include:
Assisting with bag / table setup, in preparation for food delivery
Unloading food from pallets, and packing individual bags
Breaking down boxes and assisting with organizing the pantry/food items
Directing clients that have checked-in and monitoring bag pickup (outside)
Helping with breakdown and clean-up at the end of day.
Please do your part in keeping our community healthy. If you are immuno-compromised, at increased risk for severe illness, or feeling sick at all, please decline your registration to the event and register for a project at a less risky time. Additionally, all volunteers are required to alert the organization if they are to test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of volunteering. For more information on how to keep yourself healthy, visit the CDC website for the additional resources.
