Role Summary

Volunteer will be responsible for contactless delivery of food boxes to Tubman clients who cannot access the Tubman Chrysalis Food Pantry on site.

• Assist clients without their own transportation in getting their basic needs met

• Pick-up food boxes at Tubman Chrysalis Center
• Deliver food boxes to up to 10 households
• Communicate with staff as appropriate

• Must have a valid driver’s license, current insurance, good driving record, and access to a vehicle
• Must be 21 or older
• Access to a personal cell phone for use while volunteering
• Clear communication, good decision-making, and time-management skills
• Ability to lift and carry at least 15-pound bags/boxes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries
• Ability to work with diverse teams and clients to foster a culturally inclusive environment

• 1-3 hours a week on Tuesdays, with pick-up at Tubman Chrysalis Center beginning around 12 noon

• Attend Tubman’s Volunteer/Intern Orientation
• Supervised by Community Outreach Coordinator

Each year Tubman helps nearly 25,000 people of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds who are facing relationship violence, sexual assault, exploitation, homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges, or other forms of trauma.
