We are seeking volunteers to go online and read with our students between sessions with their center teacher. We will provide the decodable reader or leveled reader that the teacher is working with the student on. The volunteer needs to be able to support the student with reading new words, sounding out words, and encouragement.

Description
The Catch-up Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides 1:1 tutoring support for students with learning differences in reading. We are seeking volunteers to help students with reading in an online platform. The student will read a reader that is assigned by the Catch-up Center teacher to supplement their reading practice in between sessions with the teacher. The volunteer will simply read with the student online, using a book provided by the teacher during a 20 minute session to help the student practice reading. We are also seeking volunteers for future events such as the Dyslexia 3000 5K that will happen in October 2021 and online community events that we have throughout the year.
