Mission Statement

Our mission at the Catch-up Center, Inc. is to provide a multi-sensory, systematic, and affordable system of support for students with learning differences and to enable their families to better help them. We strive to build confidence through positive affirmations and student strength connections to build confidence and give them tools needed to become a successful reader.

Description

The Catch-up Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides 1:1 tutoring support for students with learning differences in reading. We are seeking volunteers to help students with reading in an online platform. The student will read a reader that is assigned by the Catch-up Center teacher to supplement their reading practice in between sessions with the teacher. The volunteer will simply read with the student online, using a book provided by the teacher during a 20 minute session to help the student practice reading. We are also seeking volunteers for future events such as the Dyslexia 3000 5K that will happen in October 2021 and online community events that we have throughout the year.
