Our vision is a world in which everyone has the right to health, education and participation. We envision a world where everyone can have a positive role in the life of others and fulfil their potential. Our mission is to enable people to make a practical and lasting difference to the lives of those living in slums worldwide, through volunteering, and to support the improvement of life’s conditions in slum areas through education and health projects.
SlumAid is a UK-based NGO that supports underprivileged communities worldwide. We are a grass-roots charity, that works in collaboration with its local partners and international volunteers. SlumAid aims at breaking the cycle of poverty through good quality education, health services and community empowerment projects. SlumAid was founded in 2009 and since then we recritued and trained thousands of volunteers who worked on-site and remotely for our charity partners around the world. We work in collaborations with charities in India, Bangladesh, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria.
SlumAid needs skilled volunteers who can support our partners with their activities and needs. We need students, teachers, doctors, nurses, social media experts, accountants, HR experts, social campaigns' creators, marketing specialists, designers, web content creators, and anyone who wants to share their skills to improve the world we live in!
Our Goals
- Provide good quality education to children and health in need through volunteers;
- Sponsor local projects that favour the lives of people who live in deprived areas;
- Empower local communities, through training and sponsorships programmes.
