During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Utilize your skills in the kitchen by helping us to prepare the dishes that go into our frozen meals. This volunteer position requires standing for a number of hours as you work with our chef doing things like chopping vegetables, cooking large batches of food, washing dishes, or whatever else may be needed in the kitchen. These foods are then packaged into meals by another group of volunteers and then frozen so that they may be distributed to children who face food insecurity over the weekends.

Cultivate is devoted to organizing our community resources to fight hunger through food rescue.
Food rescue, also called food recovery or food salvage, is the practice of gathering edible food that would otherwise go to waste from places such as restaurants, grocery stores, produce markets, or dining facilities and distributing it to local food banks, food pantries, and emergency food programs.
Cultivate has long focused on helping those underserved and overlooked in our community. Through our Food Rescue program, we can provide meals to the needy for as little as $0.75 per meal! Help us achieve one of our goals of ensuring no one goes hungry in northern Indiana by supporting and volunteering today!
We'll work with your schedule.
