The associate director of marketing collaborates with the director to achieve the marketing goals for the organization. The effective execution of associate director of marketing responsibilities are essential to assist in the growth and development of the organization. Works in close association with the director to create and articulate successful implementation of the marketing strategies and programs to broaden the horizons of the organization.
This position balances strategic direction and oversight with direct development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions, coordinating creative teams, and deriving insights from analysis to build customer relationships and improve an organization or brand’s market position and impact.
Examine the results of marketing and promotional campaigns to gauge whether they achieved the intended levels of customer engagement and growth. Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy as developed by the director and c-suite at Helpful.
Because of the highly regulated areas that Helpful operates in as well as the global nature of the community, it is expected that the communication and development of all execution plans are in line with the global nature.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the team leads in execution of their duties. These consist of: a. Content Team: To research and craft a wide range of articles b. Social Media Team: To research, craft and manage posts aligned to the broader marketing and communications strategy c. Creatives Team: To craft and manage creatives d. Web Team: Elementor and Wordpress designers e. PR Team: To perform media requests and outreach
Onboard new team members to the Department as required
Assist in coordinate efforts of the Marketing and Communications department with the other departments within Helpful.
Where required, work with the Project Owners and Project Managers to communicate externally on behalf of projects and products
Maintain up to date and easy to use information for counterparts (e.g. channel updates; checklists; communication guidelines etc.)
At least 2 years leading marketing and communications strategy development and execution in a complex stakeholder environment.

Helpful Engineering is a 3,400 strong volunteer-run nonprofit incubator organization, with engineers, scientists, and doctors around the world dedicated to helping the world address the COVID-19 pandemic. Relying on the resourcefulness and grit of our members, we work to design innovative ways to fight the virus that causes this disease. We have partnered with medical professionals to know what would help them the most in this crisis, rapidly trying to design and arrange the production of pragmatic devices to move life-saving air, extend existing tools, or organize volunteers on the ground to bolster medical workers. The need is critical. Important but complex rules usually make these products unavailable, if unburdened, we can make them available now.
