ORGANIZATION: STRONG ATTITUDES SUPPORTING SISTAHS

The Treasurer shall be a director of Strong Attitudes Supporting Sistahs, Inc. and shall report to the Board of Directors at each regular meeting on the status of S.A.S.S. finances. The Treasurer shall work closely with any board member or committee of Strong Attitudes Supporting Sistahs to ascertain that appropriate procedures are being followed in the financial affairs of S.A.S.S. The Treasurer shall perform such other duties as requested and assigned by the Board of Directors.

More about the position: The Treasurer should create and maintain systems for ensuring the organization’s ongoing solvency and oversee the development of the organization’s financial policies. The Treasurer may be responsible for preparing, or facilitating the preparation of an annual budget, as well as regular monitoring and comparing the actual revenues and expenses incurred against such budget. The Treasurer should keep the board apprised of key financial events, trends, and concerns, and assessments of the organization’s fiscal health. A skilled Treasurer should be able to translate financial concepts and information for board members who do not have financial backgrounds or substantial financial experience
