Homestead Hospice is seeking compassionate, caring individuals to visit with patients. Patient visits could include watching TV, playing cards, reading a book, painting fingernails, playing music, or reminiscing. Volunteers sometimes run errands or sit with the patient to allow the caregiver to run to the store, get a haircut or have lunch with a friend. Volunteers do not perform any medical or direct care tasks such as changing, feeding, bathing, etc. They are there to be a friend to the patient and their family, providing much needed friendship during a time of social isolation.
We will work with your schedule!
Application process includes: fingerprinting, background check, health screen, drug screen, annual TB test, training and orientation.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
