Are you passionate about STEM education and careers? Would you like to help K-12 students achieve their full potential in fabulous future careers? If you also have a sense of humor, a sense of wonder, and little time to give each month, then Edheads is the place for you! Edheads is a 501c3 non-profit organization that ties K-12 classroom curricula to real world challenges and careers by providing free games and new content to teachers, students and parents. We are looking for several recently retired teachers interested in STEM subjects (grades 3-12) to help us plan and move into the future. We need help with:
- editing different types of content for use in the classroom (worksheets, etc.)- content provided by STEM professionals.
- planning teacher interfaces and significantly expanding teacher content
- assigning content to standards
- editing the development of a STEM career database
We ask for roughly hours of time per month, with a minimum of one video meeting per month. This volunteer opportunity is open to retired teachers or those current teachers with time to give across the US - you do NOT have to live in central Ohio to participate.
