Alzheimer's Association, Rochester & Finger Lakes Region Chapter
The Alzheimer's Association of the Rochester & Finger Lakes Chapter is looking for enthusiastic planning committee members for the 2021Finger Lakes Walks to End Alzheimer's,
The Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning committee is a small but mighty group of energetic go-getters who are passionate about the Alzheimer's Association's mission. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the Association's largest fundraising event, held nationally in over 600 communities. Our goal is to raise funds to ultimately find a cure for Alzheimer's disease while spreading awareness about the programs and services offered at no charge to the professionals, friends, and families that are already on an Alzheimer's journey. The Walk Planning committee is volunteer lead and staff supported. We have a wonderful event chair in place but are seeking additional individuals interested in leadership roles.
The Mission Chair serves as the primary lead for connecting the community and participants to the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association throughout the Walk season. This position will assemble a subcommittee to lead the Champions Club program and to promote core mission elements, including TrialMatch(r), programs and services along with the Promise Garden.
*please note there is a role for everyone!- reach out to me for more details*
Monthly commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours per month. This will vary depending on the month as we get closer to the event. While the Walk is scheduled for October. we fundraise year-round.
