Do you get jazzed about the idea of feminist evaluation? How about strategies, systems & design? Working with others that focus on a culturally-supported approach to evaluation? We’d love to hear from you!
Shakti Rising is a social change organization transforming the lives of women, girls, and the larger community by cultivating their health and emerging leadership, ultimately empowering their personal transformation as a catalyst for positive change in their own life as well as that of their families and communities.
Our model for collective success includes the following interwoven principles:
- women centered, holistic & trauma informed
- sustainable
- based in cultivation of creativity, leadership and community
Our work actively promotes community well being, creating woman & child friendly societies that are safe, healthy, vibrant, diverse, sustainable and culturally alive. Part of how we do that is through the implementation of evaluation throughout Shakti. From cultivating evaluative mindsets to working directly with our staff and communities to grow their skills with evaluation tools and resources, evaluation is a bloodline of the organization.
Do you want to learn how to support the refinement, implementation & design aspects of evaluation?
Does the idea of helping evaluation be better understood and abundantly more useful toward goals of social justice & equality spark excitement within you?
What does this stir within you regarding your service and creativity?
Our vision is to incorporate the power of evaluation that is participatory and practically useful while being both culturally and principally focused
We are committed to providing meaningful engagement for our interns and volunteers in every aspect of Shakti, matching organizational needs with individual talents, passions and goals for growth; creating mutually beneficial relationships while engaging individuals in a lifetime of civic and philanthropic contribution.
We believe leadership is an alchemical journey wherein one’s own inner healing and service to the world join together. Our invitation for you, is to join us.

We have three program areas: Transformational Recovery, Shakti Feminine University, and Transformation Through Service. Our three programs support women and the larger community to dive deeply into their own personal recovery, education, and leadership development. Our volunteer program is a leadership program, we are a living laboratory of leading from the feminine.
