Our non-profit is looking for a volunteer to manage our social media (IG, Wix email and Facebook accounts). We have weekly and monthly post ideas mapped out including #mentalhealthMonday and #Blackownedbusiness highlights. The ideal creator will support our mission of closing the opportunity gap for Black and Brown communities, have experience with digital design, and be able to create social media friendly captions with engaging hashtags. Hours are flexible and at your pace! There are bi-weekly content meetings to keep you abreast of the org’s programs and updates.

Mission Statement
To close the opportunity gap for Black and Brown individuals 18-34 years old in pursuit of personal and professional growth.
Description
Urgent 365 is a collective of artists and professionals who work to close the opportunity gap for Black and Brown youth and young adults in pursuit of personal and professional growth. We facilitate opportunities for healing, education, empowerment, and community building through workshops, virtual programming and resource drives.
Since inception, Urgent 365 has developed and implemented programs for Woodstock Family Center, millennials in the 200th legislative district, West Oak Lane Charter School, Martin Luther King High School, and the Dorothy Emmanuel Rec Center summer camp to name a few. Across sectors, Urgent 365 has sought to empower participants with the personal and interpersonal tools and resources needed to effectively navigate life’s challenges in order to pursue goals.
Our most impactful ongoing endeavor is our annual Trunk Party drive started in 2018. In the past four years, we've sent over 60 college freshman off to college with essential items from bedding and desk lamps to $250 book awards and laptops. In conjunction with this initiative we also hold a celebratory Trunk Party event where we hold panels for recipients and guardians along side acknowledging each student for their accomplishments and college acceptance. As we expand this program we hope to not only assist with getting students to college, but also with seeing them through graduation.
