Volunteer at Red Cross Life-Saving Blood Drives
American Red Cross - Central Appalachia Region
The American Red Cross of the Central Appalachia Region hosts blood drives 360 days a year throughout our 77 county area. This includes all of West Virginia and surrounding counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia and Maryland.
As a blood drive volunteer, you will engage blood donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information, and supporting them through the recovery process at the refreshments table. The special attention you give helps create a favorable impression that encourages ongoing donor support. The Red Cross provides training on all our systems and all Covid-19 safety protocols are strictly enforced.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. Whether itﾒs one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member, our vital work is made possible by people like you.
