The Salvation Army NE Minneapolis is a safe haven for local community members offering various programs and activities in addition to social service and ministerial opportunities. A volunteer is needed to oversee the front desk operations during weeknights from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
Tasks include answering phones and directing parents to the After School Program as well as to the Community Center (Tuesdays and Thursdays) by helping with the sign in process.
Shifts are available M-F from 4:00-6 pm. This is an on-going role with a suggested commitment of at least one shift a week for 3 months.
Requirements include completing the volunteer application and background check as well as the Safe From Harm virtual training.

The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
