Jewish Organization Administrative Task Volunteer (remote) - adults 55+ only
Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)/CSSNYC
Want to make a difference?
Would you like to volunteer for a Jewish organization committed to criminal justice reform and recidivism reduction through preventive-education and faith-based rehabilitation programs, re-entry assistance, alternative sentencing guidance and counsel, and policy research and recommendations? If any of this speaks to you, this may be a great place to serve. There are currently a number of administrative tasks that need to be completed on a regular basis, including researching, making phone calls, going through databases, drafting or summarizing letters, etc. People of all faiths are welcome to volunteer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this is exclusively a remote opportunity.
Guess what?! There are even more great opportunities for volunteers 55 and older in all 5 boroughs!
RSVP works with over 250 partner organizations. If this opportunity is not for you, we can help you find another that is. Inquire about our active opportunities today and/or ask to be added to our contact list for after things settle down!
**Please note: all RSVP volunteer opportunities are for individuals 55 and older; also, most assignments are with our partners located across the City**
About Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)/CSSNYC
633 Third Avenue, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10017, US
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) was started in 1966 by the Community Service Society (CSS), an over 170-year-old nonprofit agency. CSS's mission is to identify problems which create a permanent poverty class in New York City, and to advocate the systemic changes required to eliminate such problems. CSS will focus on enabling, empowering and promoting opportunities for poor families and individuals to develop their full potential, to contribute to society, and to realize social, economic and political opportunities.
RSVP matches adults 55 and older with meaningful volunteer opportunities at New York City nonprofits. With more than 2,300 volunteers, RSVP in New York City is one of the largest senior volunteer programs in the nation. There are over 600 RSVPs which operate nationally and many that do so internationally. We match volunteers on the basis of interests and abilities, community needs, geographic convenience, and experience.
