Are you a wildly creative people-person? Do you draw energy from generating ideas, building programs, and executing plans? Are you excited by the idea of leading volunteers on behalf of dogs and cats? If this sounds like you, we have an amazing volunteer opportunity for you! We’re looking for the perfect candidate to join our volunteer family in the capacity of Volunteer Culture Coordinator.

Objective: Build programs and events that create amazing experiences for HEA volunteers.

This volunteer will:

• Plan and execute multiple volunteer-centric events throughout the year (ex. Volunteer social events, volunteer appreciation events, etc.)
• Lead volunteer "spirit" efforts that will:
• Bring fun, positivity, and energy into the volunteer program at all HEA locations
• Passionately express gratitude to HEA’s volunteers
• Celebrate (individual and group) volunteer accomplishments through recognition efforts
• Work with HEA staff to identify and train a team of volunteers who can help in creating an outstanding experience for all HEA volunteers

This person is/has:

• An energy-giver who loves to coach others (and has demonstrated an ability to do just that!)
• Wildly organized with an inherent understanding of the importance of "small" details
• Great people skills and a service oriented approach
• A marvelously creative self-starter who can (and loves to!) bring ideas to life

Reports to: HEA’s Volunteer Manager

Commitment: This is a brand new volunteer role at HEA, and the time commitment will vary from week to week. We estimate that it will require an average of 3 hours per week, with some weeks requiring far fewer hours, and some weeks requiring more. We will ask that this volunteer is willing to commit to at least 1 year in this role.
