Use your writing edge to volunteer!
(For High School Student Volunteers)

BEA website publishes blogs written by high school student volunteers as good writing examples for younger children.

Writing volunteers basically submit their writing works, poetry, fiction (non-poetry) or non-fiction, to the BEA Peer Review Working Group. Once accepted for publication, the volunteer will have their effort recognized through their volunteer hour (according to the length of the text) and the publicity as the writing role model.

Your submissions must be unpublished and authentic, owned by you before you submit it to BEA.

At this stage, the submissions should be written in English.

How to start volunteering?
To start the process, please (1) fill in the Application Form to become a BEA volunteer and (2) send over at least one sample of your previous writing works to

The application form is accessible on our website or here:

You will be notified if your sample passes the first screening. Then, start volunteering by writing!
