Travel Unity is seeking a volunteer Youth Advisory Council Coordinator to work with staff, volunteers, and our Travel Unity Youth Advisory Council (TUYAC) members on youth-related programming. Volunteers from all backgrounds and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply!

Youth Advisory Council Coordinators will work with a team of other Youth Advisory Council Coordinator and the Youth Programs Manager on virtual TUYAC events and programming and, when appropriate, in-person events.

Volunteers must have prior experience working with high-school age youth and must be able to work on a team basis, communicate regularly, be proficient with meeting programs (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.), and enjoy the excitement of collaborative output.

TUYAC Coordinators are responsible for:

*Recruiting and onboarding new members in coordination with other TUYAC Coordinators, as well as Youth Services and Nonprofit Partnership Managers
*Managing weekly hour-long virtual TUYAC meetings
*Tracking attendance
*Working with Travel Unity staff to coordinate guests for weekly meeting and other TUYAC events

You must also be willing to undergo a background check.

Travel Unity volunteers work with passionate travel and nonprofit professionals with wide-ranging skills. An appreciation for the value of travel in the lives of a diverse population where some are often impeded is key to this role.
