About THE DEMAND PROJECT

Location:

5065 S. 79th E. Ave., TULSA, OK 74145, US

Mission Statement

The Demand Project exists to eradicate human trafficking, online enticement, child abuse imagery, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. TDP fights these four crimes in four ways: through prevention, prosecution, rescue, and restoration.

Description

The Demand Project exists to eradicate human trafficking, online enticement, child abuse imagery, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Our strategy is the Prevention of victimization through awareness and education; the Prosecution of sexual predators through cyber investigation and protecting victims by pursuing restorative justice; to see victims of sexual exploitation Rescued with VASTeams in collaboration with law enforcement, and to empower survivors to choose their own Journey to Freedom through the non-residential and residential Restoration Program. This strategy is proactive and reactive by addressing the issues that lead to these crimes and serving the victims and survivors affected by them. The Demand Project’s holistic approach to these
injustices is community-focused with a wide-reaching impact. A victim’s journey to survivor can be challenging, but providing him or her with the necessary
resources and support can provide an ideal environment for healing. We provide this through the Journey Program. The Journey Program is a client-focused, community-centered, trauma-informed approach to survivor services that focuses on restoring victims to survivors, and equipping survivors to become thriving individuals. The residential program at the Mount Arukah campus can provide homes for up to 60 underage girls. Through the nonresidential program, we serve adults and minors, regardless of race, religion, disability, sex, age, ethnicity, or national origin.
