During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We are in need of front desk volunteers from 5pm-10pm.
Right now, there are only 13 people in the shelter who have had COVID or have tested negative. Some shelter residents and staff have received the first or second dose of the vaccine. Staff, guests, and volunteers are being tested for COVID weekly.
Front desk volunteers answer phone calls, receive donations, and distribute hygiene items to guests. The front desk is the first face at House of Mercy and qualified volunteers must be compassionate and able to work in a diverse setting.
Could you commit to one-two night a week? If so please contact Ellen, ellen@houseofmercyrochester.org or call 585-546-2580 x112
