Covenant House Alaska

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
CHA Logo

We need some individuals or COVID-bubble groups/households to help with cleaning of our Navigation Center. The Navigation Center is a house located in downtown Anchorage that provides youth with a space to meet with staff and achieve goals.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning the bathroom. On average, it's taken 1 person about 2 hours to complete all of these tasks. The house closes each day at 6pm, at which time volunteers may begin cleaning (flexible timing until 7am the next morning). Friday shifts could also be completed any time on Saturday or Sunday. We are asking for a commitment of at least twice per month for a minimum of 3 months. Shifts are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekends.

This is an independent, contactless activity.

Mission Statement

We who recognize God's providence and fidelity to his people are dedicated to living out his covenant among ourselves and those children we serve, with absolute respect and unconditional love. That commitment calls us to serve suffering children of the street, and to protect and safeguard all children. Just as Christ in his humanity is the visible sign of God's presence among his people, so our efforts together in the covenant community are a visible sign that effects the presence of God, working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids.
