Volunteer and Yoga Combine a volunteer placement at a local school with morning and evening yoga sessions.
Experience a home stay in a rural area only 1 hour away from Kathmandu. Volunteer Society Nepal has teamed up with a professional Yoga School and home stay to offer you volunteering with yoga in the mornings and evenings. You can train, teach or assist in a school just around the corner of the home stay/yoga center.The Yoga and Volunteer Program
- An introduction to the Nepali Language, Culture and Historical sites
- A life changing volunteering abroad experience, helping at a school teaching English, Math and social games and sports activities
- An experience of living with a local family where you can have a complete immersive family experience
- Special Morning and Evening Yoga and Pranamaya breathing sessions
- Hiking in the area with a guide during the weekends.
At the home stay you will stay with yoga students and travelers from all over the world. You will be enjoying amazing and hygienic food from the mother of the house. In your free time you can also join the daily organized hikes in the area.
Do I need any qualifications or skills to do this work?
It helps if you have some experience of teaching or giving workshops, but if you don’t have this, then being a pro-active and enthusiastic person is important.
*For this Experience the home stay asks an additional 65 euro per week fee on top of the regular VSN fee.
