Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
We rely on more than 38,000 volunteers each year, who serve as coaches, help with events, assist on committees, and so much more. Help athletes achieve their dreams, volunteer today!
Cycling Volunteer Opportunities
Lee County - Cycling Season - Saturdays from 1pm-2:30pm
February 20, 2021 - May 15, 2021
Fort MyersHere are some of the ways you can volunteer:
- Set-up & breakdown of training practices
- Cycle alongside and guide athletes
- Assist with COVID-19 screening questions and logs
- Coach or Assistant Coach (certification required by Special Olympics)
Volunteer Oath
I promise to give of the time in my life, so that Special Olympics athletes can have the time of their lives. I promise to support Special Olympics not just as an expression of charity, but as a form of respect for my fellow human beings. I promise to spread the word of volunteerism because in giving, I receive so much more in return.

Description
The ultimate objective of Special Olympics Florida is to help people with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society at large, by offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition, and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.
