Because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. We are changing lives through Promise Cards, character education in schools and correctional facilities, and awareness campaigns with global reach. As part of our commitment to encourage volunteerism, we now have opportunities for individuals who want to support our cause but do not live near our office headquarters. Remote volunteers can share their time by assisting with list-building and data entry. Work can be done on the volunteer’s own computer and at a time that fits one’s personal schedule. Most of the list-building is focused on finding additional outlets where we can share our message, provide resources, and ultimately, better humanity through the impact of kept promises. Some of the broad interest areas that we have available: Website - Internet Research, Social Media Writing etc. Event planning and coordination (Temporarily Remote) Assisting with Programs - Volunteer programs, General Education Speaking engagement cultivationExternal relations - Recruiting If there is an additional area you would want to explore, feel free to let us know and we'll work with you! We reward our hardworking, passionate volunteers with incentives as well such as: Certification of Appreciation - volunteers who complete 150+ hours Recommendation letter from the organization - volunteers who complete 250+ hours Requirements: Must have basic computer familiarity with searching the internet, entering information into a Google sheet (already set up and shared with you), and emailing. Because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity. Our mission is to strengthen humanity’s will. Because I said I would encourages and supports making and keeping promises to end suffering, establish peace and build happiness. We created the Promise Card to help hold people accountable to their commitments, but the movement has grown into something far greater than just its origin. Our programs help the world get better one person at a time.
Promise cards help you remember the importance of your commitments and goals. We have sent over 8.42 million promise cards to over 153 different countries, by request only.
Because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering humanity through promises made and kept. People use promise cards to remember the importance of their word, for promises both big and small. It might just seem like a piece of paper, but promise cards have motivated people to stick with their commitments to better humanity. A heroin addict’s promise to stay in rehab. A young girl’s promise to stop cutting herself. Or a simple promise to volunteer at the local food bank.
We'll work with your schedule.
