ORGANIZATION: Coastal Family Partners

M.I.L.A, Minimizing Instances of Lewd Acts, is a six-week sexual assault risk reduction program designed for adults and adolescents with disabilities. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to help us with virtual role-playing/demonstrations of what is being discussed in sessions. This will give our learners visuals to better understand program content.

We discuss topics such as boundaries, consent, saying no, and telling someone when we've been hurt.

M.I.L.A is funded by the Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities. Learn more about the program by visiting our website at the link below.

Description

At Coastal Family Partners, we are driven by the power of community support, also known as a village. We were founded in 2020 and have experienced rapid growth since inception. We believe this is due in part to our sincere mission of partnering with all families, but especially those most disadvantaged. Our work is grounded in an upstream and direct service approach where we seek to understand how to prevent our community's most pressing issues while cultivating programs for service to those most in need.
