During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Tidewell Hospice has a Hospice House in Port Charlotte. Volunteers are needed for shifts throughout the day, 7 days per week, (8-11, 11-2, 2-5, and 5-8) to help with greeting/directing/screening visitors. Due to COVID 19, visitation is limited and a screening must be completed on anyone entering the Hospice house. Volunteers must wear PPE as directed by Tidewell staff. No patient contact due to COVID 19. While this may seem like a simple role, it is extremely helpful to our staff to not have to run to the front door and perform screenings on visitors.
Training is provided. We ask for a one year commitment of a regular shift and level 2 fingerprinting/TB testing are required.
