Seattle Public Schools Head Start
Do you love working with children? Do you speak Spanish? Our Head Start classroom is looking for a Spanish-speaking volunteer to help with our virtual learning! Our children are aged 3 to 5 years old, and the majority of the class speaks Spanish as their first language. As our families also participate, we need help giving directions,sharing lessons, etc.
Head Start is a Federally funded program serving low-income, diverse children and families, We have 11 locations throughout the Seattle area.
Due to COVID, our school is completely remote.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Community Representative for Seattle Public Schools Head Start Policy Council
Seattle Public Schools Head Start currently has an opening for Policy Council Community Representative.
This volunteer position has a commitment of 3 to 4 hours per month. The volunteer would learn about Head Start operations. This includes, program planning, development, assessment, personnel matters and budget recommendations. Participation also involves voting on program recommendations and presenting as model and support for parent program participants. This is of interest to an individual interested in program operations, socio-emotional development supporting healthy children entering kindergarden ready to learn.
