The Global Impact Initiative is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization located in Austin, Texas. We provide transformative education and learning, professional development, skill-building workshops and mentoring to individuals, families, and communities. We facilitate meaningful connections between local and global organizations, to build bridges of understanding and promote lifelong learning. This is a part-time (10-19 hours per week), volunteer position. The responsibilities will include spearheading marketing campaigns, strategizing marketing plans, and supervising the marketing interns.

This is a VOLUNTEER role, which is a non-salaried position.

Duties (including but not limited to):

• Supervise the marketing interns by developing their marketing skills and ensuring all marketing contents meet the organization’s brand standard
• Oversee social media, blogging, newsletter, advertising, and other marketing efforts
• Brainstorm, research, and direct social media marketing campaign
• Create and develop various materials for print, web, presentation, newsletters, and social media content
• Strengthen and extend the company’s brand guidelines and visual "voice"
• Create, retouch, edit, and manipulate graphic and written elements for multi-departmental use
• Organize the document and presentation layouts to convey complex ideas
• Update and integrate with Squarespace based website content

Job Skills Requirements:

• Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Leadership skills, with experience managing a small team preferred
• Strong graphic design skills
• Strong Adobe creative suite, Microsoft Office, and Google productivity suite skills
• Ability to quickly layout and visualize proposed designs
• Attention to detail
• Deadline-oriented
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• SEO knowledge preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, public relations, communications or related field, or equivalent experience
• Work experience in marketing preferred
