Title- Puppy Raiser

Mission- Your Service Dog Inc is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities by teaching them how to train a Service Dog Partner to perform to the dog’s full potential, by providing superior canine assistance. We also seek to assist Service Dog handlers by helping them attain their full human potential through utilizing canine assistance.


Purpose- Puppy Raisers assist the organization by helping disabled people obtain a free, partially-trained Service Dog. Not only do Puppy Raisers help disabled people, but they can also be instrumental in providing a shelter and rescue dog with a second chance, a purpose, and a home.


Responsibilities-The Puppy Raisers will assume responsibility for the care of the puppy or dog with the assistance of one of YOur Service Dog Inc's qualified Service Dog Trainers.


Puppy Raisers will learn how to train the puppy or dog by attending the online Prospect Evaluation course at Your Service Dog School and will receive step-by-step guidance from one of our trainers (so, a stable internet connection is essential).

The "Full Potential Service Dog Method of Training(tm)" will be used to train the dog. The initial training can last for four to six months, depending on the progress of the Service Dog in Training. The Puppy Raiser will need to work in collaboration with the Trainers at Your Service Dog School, and they will monitor the progress of the Service Dog and keep day-to-day records of the dog's progress.

Needed skills- Love of dogs, compassion, critical thinking, patience, responsible dog handler, communication, ability to listen and accept instruction, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and ability to video record training sessions.

There are a variety of programs and services offered through Your Service Dog inc. Owner Training Instruction

Our aim is to enable persons with disabilities to have the skills necessary to train their own Service Dog Partners, with the goal being for said dogs to be able to assist with the mitigation of each individual’s disabilities in the fullest capacity possible. ​

Canine Partner Placement

Eligible persons with disabilities who are not capable of training their own dogs may be able to access one through our Canine Partners Placement program.

Your Service Dog Inc's SDiT Prospect Evaluation and Placement Program places selected SDiT Prospects who have graduated through their Prospect Evaluation Program and have been on merit, selected as SDiT Prospects, and placed with suitable matching Handlers.

We strive to assist Veterans learn to overcome life challenges of disabilities which they acquired as a result of war, with the assistance of Canine Partners.​

To help our caregivers overcome life challenges of disabilities which they acquired as a result of their duties and circumstances, with the assistance of Full Potential Service Dog Canine Partners.
