The Writing Group Coordinator will facilitate writers’ group meetings and activities at the Green Hills Branch Library on 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 3 pm to 5 pm. The meetings are open to the community members. The writers’ group represents many different stages and genres of writing. During meetings, members of the group are given the opportunity to read to their peer's writing, receive positive and helpful feedback. This volunteer position is a one-year commitment and can be renewed each year.

With the recent pandemic, meetings are hosted virtually.

Responsibilities:

Provide feedback to group members regarding their writing
Schedule speakers for meetings and professional reading events in the community
Answers questions from the public about the group.
Keep a record of attendance and complete evaluations.
Contact the CW Board of Directors in a timely manner of any changes as it relates to the writing group.

The vision is to encourage children, adolescents and adults by providing positive and productive support in writing and literacy education based on personal goals.
