Mission or Broader Program Description: PalsNPets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to unhoused pet owners and their pets, providing services specific to the needs of this group through partnerships with shelters. Pets are often the only thing an unhoused individual has to care about, and many shelters don't allow pets. Working with shelters to make them pet-friendly also allows us to work with these individuals who are often the most in need and often have a higher potential to build a better future...two lives at a time.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: PalsNPets is a young nonprofit that is quickly growing and is looking for an Administrative Manager manager to assist. We are in the process of opening our fourth shelter in Los Angeles and are looking to expand further both here and in other cities. The Administrative Manager will manage volunteers and create a system for collecting and documenting information the volunteers receive during resident check ins, among other duties:
Organize documents and information received from residents
Organize receipts, tax documents, contracts, and other paperwork
Oversee the staffing of three new employees
Other organizational duties as required
Good communication and writing skills
Detail oriented and well-organized
Volunteers can work remotely. The time commitment is flexible, ranging from 2-4 hours per week.
