Job Description: The Grants Coordinator supports the Finance Coordinator in managing the organization’s grants, including maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and funders. The Grants Coordinator manages the database of funders, their objectives and eligibility criteria. The Coordinator reviews proposals written by Grant Writers and submits approved applications to public or private funding organizations. The Grants Coordinator works with the Finance Coordinator to prepare timely and accurate financial reports as required. The Grants Coordinator guides the Grant Writers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the objectives, programs, and financial needs of CI2.
  • Research funding opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
  • Create and maintain a roster of potential funding partners.
  • Work with the Finance Coordinator on budgets for proposals
  • Draft progress reports for funders.
  • Review grant proposals and supporting documents.
  • Submit proposals to funding organizations.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with funding providers and other stakeholders.

Recommended Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 2 years of work experience in accounting, management, grants, budgeting, or related area. Prospect research skills. Persuasive communicator, in print and in person. Organized with good planning skills. Able to set, and meet, deadlines.

This position is great for someone with finance experience who loves writing, wants to roll up their sleeves, and take ownership of projects.
